Amundsen–Scott Station is a secret CIA base built in an Antarctic crated during an epic battle between Phil Seleski and Doctor Solar where Peter Garrett plots to drop the X-O Manowar armor down a ten-mile deep shaft that will then be filled with water to render it inoperable.
After Peter kidnaps him and Randy Cartier, Aric Dacia is able to escape with his armor and cause severe structural damage to the station, but not before Phillip Zahn studies the alien artifact and learns enough to replicate its systems.
