In 1836, settlers of Georgia destroyed a Cherokee village and killed the mother of the Geomancer. Ignoring her dying words to ignore his rage and not let hate and revenge overcome him, the Geomancer tracked down the man responsible for the village massacre and executed him in cold blood.
