A police officer from Korea with undercover experience who moved to the U.S., Suk "Sam" Yoon Kim slips into a coma after a 9mm bullet opens his skull during the L.A. riots. He agrees to join HARD Corps after they bring him out of his coma, but he does not like the situation he is in and often questions the ethics and motivations of Omen Enterprises. When allowed to visit his wife following his acceptance of HARD Corps status, Sam discovers that she has returned to Korea, assuming he was dead.
Flatline is marked by a calm demeanor, and a “bends with the wind, but does not break” attitude.
