George Barbella is the father of the Barbella sisters, Gianna, Maria, and Teresa Barbella.

In 1986, George Barbella stumbled across information that nailed the country’s top crime bosses which he thought he could just hand over to the Feds and be done with it. He was wrong, however, as the Mob put out a contract on his head, not because it could change anything but to send a message.
Although the Feds wanted to put his family in a Witness Protection Program, there were no guarantees and he could not bear to the thought of endangering the most precious things in his life. With the Feds’ help, George faked his death and disappeared, though he made sure to support his family financially. The Feds made sure that they got any loans they needed and practically paid for his daughter Maria’s college.
