Kana is an armored drone that served the Masters of Unity in their wanderings until he went berserk and they left him behind on Earth when Unity moved on.
Kana, the first drone who ever wore the X-O Armor that would become X-O Manowar, was a first among equals who led a raid against a tribe of peaceful neanderthals that Malakai stopped before it had gone too far. While Malakai destroyed Kana’s followers, he had orders to bring Kana back to the Masters for adjustment. In addition to being the Master’s favorite, Kana was the most powerful of the troops, and those two factors aided in his escape from custody.
