Following the murder of Ishaguro Harada and his wife, Mr. Lawrence took over as interim CEO of the Harada’s corporation. Soon afterwards, Ishaguro’s son, Toyo Harada, visited Lawrence in his office and bribed him with one million dollars to take over the company.
Within weeks, Lawrence and other executives displeased Toyo when they lost $3 million dollars because they decided not to follow his explicit instructions. Toyo found their failure unacceptable and killed the executives, including Mr. Lawrence, in accidents that looked like suicides.
