Project: N.I.O. was chartered to bring online an army of robotic super-soldiers to phase out human soldiers on the battlefield, but when Jimmu Tenno's parents - Artificial Intelligence programmers for the project - were murdered to cover up the existence of a malevolent plot for world domination, the 11 year-old boy found himself a target of the evil project director, Nakamura Kembei, and an insane AI program named Shuten Doji. Fortunately, Jimmu's parents - in their last act before their deaths - merge a benevolent AI program with a female N.I.O. robot with one overriding command: Protect Jimmu!
