When Noriko Harada was 11 years old, her 6-year-old neighbor, Toyo Harada, came to her home after he murdered his parents, who feared him and thought only of killing him because he was different, and asked her to leave with him to be his wife and take care of him.
To this day, Noriko still wonders if Toyo forced her to go with him.
While Noriko took care of Toyo as best she could, he used what he could do to make them rich and built an empire despite his youth, but though she still believes in Toyo and his dream to save the world, she cannot stand the deaths and suffering that his vision has caused.
For reasons known only to them, Noriko stays with Toyo to provide him with a measure of control for an unrevealed matter, but if she stops believing in him, she has his permission to end her life.
