The trusted aide of Hideyoshi Iwatsu, Tanaka is more of a son to the elder Iwatsu than his own offspring, Yoshi Iwatsu.
Empirical Dynasty
After Iwatsu suffered a heart attack and underwent a nanite transfusion, Tanaka lured Bloodshot to Musashi Labs in Japan with the promise of giving him back his missing memories.
A Speedshot, Iwatsu hoped to discover Bloodshot's secret to sustained life after nanite injection, but Bloodshot swiftly defeated him in combat. Afterwards, Tanaka told Bloodshot that when he escaped from Project Rising Spirit he destroyed all his memories except for few fragments.
