Legend has it that the Trinity Gems were created by an ancient sorcerer, who tapped into Mother Nature’s awesome power in order to contain the infection that was the 99. When these evil spirits are released, three specially trained warriors adopt the power of the gems, and, so far, successfully fight the beasts back.
This has gone on longer than recorded history, affecting a variety of nations and cultures, like the Romans, the Norse, the Egyptian, the Aztec, and the Japanese.
Historically, the 99 are the source material for the legends of Gods and mythological creatures.
The gems are interwoven with the spirits of their bearer and a piece of each warrior’s soul is carried with it so they find themselves with skills, attitudes, or even memories they cannot account for.
The duty of the Trinity Warriors is the most universally important task they will ever face as the fate of the world rests in their hands. The 99 are Mother Earth’s cancer and the Trinity Warriors are her antibodies.
The clothes and warpaint worn by the Trinity Warriors are historic Trinity Armor blended with their own subconscious images which they can change as easily as they change their minds.
