While in orbit conducting a series of tests with the deadliest viruses known to man, an astronaut accidentally broke a vial containing a deadly spore that infected the shuttle’s pilot, Wanda Thomas. Nine months later, Wanda gave birth to a baby boy that carried the virus. That baby killed her, the doctor, and half a dozen lab techs when he was born.
Referred to solely as X19, Wanda’s son was barely aware of the world around him, yet he was capable of accomplishing virtually anything he set his mind to.
One day, the intergalactic arms dealer called Citadel attempted to kidnap X19, but Vincent Van Goat rescued him and kept him safe from the villain’s clutches. Eventually, the X19 virus mutated Vincent’s genetic structure – which was itself already evolved by the Eternal Warrior’s arcane map –, and when Vincent reinfected X19 with the mutated strain, it rendered the X19 virus inert, curing the boy.
